Something about that summer sunshine that puts everyone in a good mood! And this year it's put me in the mood to create!
I've been dusting off my sewing machine over the last couple of years, sewing things like pillows, bow ties, an apron.
But that sunshine I was talking about inspired me to take the plunge and sew a dress for myself. I love the way it turned out. I'll probably make another!
And, with Blake's help, I decided to give this wall art a face lift. I really like it and we've had it for several years, but never even hung it up in our house in Wooster. There just wasn't a great spot for it.
So, we spray painted it kelly green. Now, just because I like to make things more difficult, I'm painting the inner parts of the lattice work a lighter shade of green to make them pop. I'll post another picture when it's finished.
In light of eternity, our lives appear as brief moments. Yet we cannot comprehend the loving care God has for every single second of these lives. My hope is to give you a window into His love, joy and strength found in our ordinary days.

Let's Go On an "A-benture!"
This Memorial Day we decided to check out Fallsville. It's an area 15 minutes from New Vienna, the small town where I grew up (technically it's not even a town, but a village!) Even though its close, I had never been there. Blake fell asleep on that 15 minute ride to our "a-benture (adventure.)"
First we came upon a great fishing pond. Bet this would be beautiful in the fall too.
Steve and I were the only two who braved the rocky, muddy path that led down to the small waterfall. It was beautiful!
The small falls at the top trickle over the amazing stair step stones...
It was a pretty good drop to the bottom. Everyone was worried about me taking these pictures, due to my...prior history with hiking and lack of coordination.
Peekin' through the leaves from above.
Ready to make the trek back to the car.
And we finished up with a cone from Cluxton's Dairy Bar! Fun day a-benturing with the family!
